Save Khaki

Aside from eating my way through this weekend (doughnuts, pad Thai you name it), I managed to get myself to the gym, buy paper towels and browse the lower east side boutiques. As always, I want everything in all the sweet little spaces, with all the lace and window displays… its like a girly treasure trove. Yet, this particular trip I was more intrigued by the men’s fashion. I found the coziest store called Save Khaki LLC with the softest corduroy pants, cotton shirts and wool sweaters. There is just something about that preppy, yet casual style of a button down shirt, sweater and cords that brings me back to boarding school weekends when boys from our ‘brother-school’ would visit. Not that I particularly liked the boys.. but I did have a crush on the outfits. People just looked so cozy and ready for a stroll in the woods or campfire. My romantic side celebrated. Clearly, I am not in boarding school, and it is illegal to make campfires on 6th avenue. So I will settle for stealing sweaters from my crush.
